PHOTO FROM HARVARD UNIVERSITY APRIL 27, 2024
April 30, 2024: A Parent of a @UCLA student released an audio of her phone call with @UCLAPD as they describe the school's directive to allow protestors to restrict the movement of Jewish students. "Are the protestors allowed to block students paying tuition from classes? No, but unfortunately, they have taken over that area." "We've received a directive not to intervene." "So you're allowing the protestors to block the Jewish students?" "I'm not allowing it... UCLA is. Yes, the school is saying that they will not be removed at this time."
Waiting and hoping for a leader with a spine! What does the establishment stand for now? These ‘protests’ are spinning out of control. I am astonished not to see those in authority (at Harvard, Columbia, UCLA, etc) not having a spine and not stepping up to stop this insanity.
Beware: As American universities and cities engage in "protests," the insanity becomes almost routine. America is on a treacherous path. The world is watching and gasping in horror. And the frog is boiling.
“Gen-Z Has More Trust in the United Nations than the US Military.” Will Gen-Z cancel America?
1) Follow the Money: Influence Operations
Ah, the age-old question: who's bankrolling these protests? Those coordinated REI tents in matching green don't come cheap. Rumor has it that Qatar is writing hefty checks to progressive universities. Our media is running with their PR messaging. And let's not forget about George Soros, the Jewish left-leaning philanthropist who has a complicated relationship with America and his fellow Jews….namely, he doesn’t like either. Word on the street is he's allegedly fueling the nationwide pro-Hamas fervor on campuses. Ah, the tangled web of influence: His son, Alexander Soros, 38 years old, allegedly holds the purse strings to fund these protests. And here's a juicy tidbit: he's romantically linked to none other than Huma Abedin, a top aide to Hillary Clinton. Meanwhile, colleges conveniently "forgot" to disclose hefty donations from the likes of China, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, among others. But don't expect these ivory towers to feel the pinch; their massive endowments, like Harvard's hefty $51 billion or Yale's impressive $40 billion, the University of Michigan’s 18 billion, and Northwestern's $14 billion, ensure financial resilience, even if alumni decide to pull their support — they won’t care or even notice.
2) Wishy Washy American Politicians.
Ah, the American politicians, masters of the election dance floor! Amid this 2024 electoral extravaganza, they tremble at the thought of shedding even a precious vote. “The joke goes that while Biden helped Israel after Oct. 7, he’s now working on the “two-state solution”: Michigan and Minneapolis.” President Biden, for the last 55 years he’s a tightrope walker, maintains a delicate balance, offering support to Israel while also hinting at consequences if Israel proceeds with entering Rafah. Meanwhile, President Trump also adjusts his rhetoric toward Israel and who can say what he would do. This election is a car crash waiting to happen. Seriously, Biden v. Trump is the best we can do. Sad. The question remains: How far will our politicians sway to secure those coveted votes?
3) The “Intellectual” Protestor
Most Americans understand that being Pro-Hamas is like being Pro-Osama Bin Ladin. Oh, wait, some of these very protestors are fans of Osama (the terrorist mastermind behind 9/11). Navigating the line between permissible protest and unacceptable behavior can be a tightrope for many universities. However, President Ben Sasse @BenSasse of the University of Florida has demonstrated commendable skill in balancing between upholding First Amendment rights and ensuring student safety. The university's approach permitted speech, expressing viewpoints, and holding signs. Yet, those who breached specific protest conduct rules faced serious consequences: suspension and a three-year ban from campus. The university also clarified that employees or professors violating these rules would face termination. Columbia University gets a big fat F grade, as do many other schools, but the list is too long to name here.
"The University of Florida is not a daycare, and we do not treat protesters like children — they knew the rules, they broke the rules, and they’ll face the consequences."
4) Protesting Feels Powerful When You Feel Powerless, Especially in a Post-Corona World.
We all have the right to protest: “The right of the people to assemble peaceably” is in the Constitution's First Amendment. Remember, the pandemic caused disruption and significant losses for many of our younger population. Corona had the potential to mess up this generation with a Zoom world and isolation. The photo below was taken at Columbia University on April 30th. A pro-Hamas person is breaking into the university. (Hamas is recognized as a terrorist organization by multiple countries and international organizations, including the United States, the European Union, Israel, and others.)
5) Gen-Z: Do Young Americans Have A National Identity and Value Citizenship?
“Spring 2024 iteration of the Harvard Youth Poll found that 74 percent of 18-29-year-old Republicans but only 55 percent of 18-29-year-old Democrats would “rather live in America than any other place.” In the same poll, young Democrats expressed far greater trust in the United Nations than the U.S. military.” WORTH A READ ABOUT GEN-Z FEELINGS
How Did We Get Here with Respect to Israel?
Just to be clear: On October 7th, Hamas terrorists unleashed horrifying violence, marking the deadliest assaults on Jews since the Holocaust. The brutality included the slaughter of innocent babies, the rape of women, the burning alive of entire families, and the taking of hundreds of civilians hostage. Since then, thousands of Israelis have lost their lives, with 134 babies, grandmas, and teenagers still held captive by terrorists. In retaliation to October 7, Israel has taken action in Gaza to dismantle the Hamas threat. Yes, thousands of Palestinians have died in this battle. And it is terrible. Israel is trying to move people away from the fighting. Nobody is winning. Hamas can end this in 1 hour by returning the hostages. Hamas refuses. Photo from Nova Festival October 7.
